Client Study Case – Elliott
In August 2013 we were invited to tender for a cleaning project in Denmark Hill. After being vetted carefully by Elliot, we were among 5 commercial cleaning companies short listed to tender for this work.
Elliott were working on a 5 story extension of King‘s College Hospital. As part of the tender process, we visited the site and provided Elliott with a detailed cleaning proposal and pricing schedule for the works. The cleaning service comprised of Builders, Sparkle and Window Cleaning Services.
As works were still on-going, we proposed a 4 stage cleaning process to ensure that cleaning work progressed on schedule without disrupting the other works on site. Our proposal involved:
- High Reach / Ceiling Clean – as step 1 of the cleaning process we would dust all plant, pipework and ceiling before ceiling tiles were installed.
- Builders Clean – the second part of the process involved removing all debris and dust. Removing all floor protection and cleaning all floors as well as skirtings, fixtures, ledges.
- Window Cleaning – complete internal and external window cleaning
- Sparkle Cleaning – final clean before Elliott hand the building over to NHS.
The job took just over 5 months and a team of 8 general cleaners, 2 window cleaners and a dedicated on site supervisor were assigned to the project.
As building work was on-going during the majority of the contract, we took great care to ensure that all our staff undertook their activities professionally and followed relevant Health and Safety procedures. We also closely monitored perfomance and quality.
A dedicated Senior Account Manager was also appointed for regular meetings between Elliott and FastKlean to ensure that the standard of work is satisfactory at all times.
During the last week of the project our Senior Supervisor and Senior Accounts Manager were on site to ensure that handover went smoothly. Elliott were able to sign the project off at the end of that week and commented on how they enjoyed a stress free process during the project.
Over the 5 month span of the project, FastKlean‘s operatives managed to not only meet but exceed expectations. Their performance and our supervision have led to Fastklean being invited by NHS to tender for a regular cleaning contracts at King‘s College Hospital.
